Pernah dengar ketika usia anak 0-7 tahun bermainlah dengan dia?
Kenapa ya?

“Do you ever get to the end of the day and you feel exhausted, like you just can’t do anything more and just want to relax? And then as you take off your jacket and your shoes, you hear: “Mommy! Daddy! Come play with me!” Although playing with your child may seem like a hassle, you will probably think twice about saying “no” after reading this.”

Tidak dapat dinafikan ‘play’ adalah aktiviti yang sangat penting untuk perkembangan sihat seorang kanak-kanak dari aspek fizikal, emosi, sosial dan intelektual.
‘Play’ bukan hanya penting di sekolah.
‘Play’ bukan hanya tugas seorang guru.
Sebaliknya ‘Play’ terlebih dahulu menjadi tanggungjawab ibubapa ke atas anak-anak.

“1) Parent-child pretend and physical play is linked with the child’s competence, gross motor skills, peer group leadership, and cognitive development, the tools we discussed.
2) Interactive play can also help a child learn how to regulate their emotions better.
3) Lastly, providing your child with an “enriched environment” through play can lower their stress chemicals.”

Persoalannya,

1) Adakah berbeza kesannya apabila anak bermain dengan ibubapa dan dengan kawan-kawan ataupun dengan adik beradik?

2) Adakah bermain dengan ayah berbeza dengan bermain dengan ibu?

Bacalah.
Semoga kita dapat luangkan ‘quantity time’ bersama anak-anak untuk bermain dengan mereka kerana “Play helps parents and children grow”. It’s not just about the children.

Children expect to play with parents and play helps both grow!
